Flower image by GMHIf you have done all of the measures above and still believe you are not managing the distress of infertility you may need additional help.  Infertility is a very distressing time of life and may indicate a predisposition to post-natal depression.  Depression after the birth of a baby is very common – approximately 9% of women suffer it.  It can be prevented or minimised by knowledge and making some changes in your personal situation.  Sometimes drug therapy is needed but often not.

The most important thing to do is discuss your feelings with the staff of Assisted Conception Australia and your doctor.  If we succeed together in reduced post-natal depression we have made the world a better place!!
