To avoid duplication of pathology testing it is helpful to inform the staff of the specialist and Assisted Conception Australia which pathology company performed the antenatal investigations.

What else should I send with the referral?
• The following investigations can be helpful if clinically appropriate:
• Hormonal tests on the female, for example, a serum progesterone performed one week before the period.
• Seminal fluid analysis on the male.
• Report of pelvic ultrasound scan of the female performed on day 1 to day 5 of the menstrual cycle.

Many of the doctors of Assisted Conception Australia undertake to see a couple with infertility within two weeks so if your patient is having difficulty getting an appointment please contact Assisted Conception Australia.
