Symptoms of OHSS are
- bloating or abdominal distension
- shortness of breath
- abdominal pain
If you develop vomiting or severe symptoms you should attend the Greenslopes Emergency Department.
If your symptoms are mild and tolerable you should contact Assisted Conception Australia and/or your doctor in working hours.
You may take simple pain killers such as paracetamol and use hot packs.
It is is important to drink plenty fluids and to stay reasonably mobile (ie walking around the house). This is to reduce the risk of developing blood clots (deep venous thrombosis).
